Registrar - Maureen Schmidt
Maureen Schmidt moved to Sexsmith after schooling in B.C. and receiving her Bachelor Of Education from Simon Fraser University. She has a passion to see children learn and for home educating parents to be creative in their teaching. She and Darrel have two children and have been home educating for 5 years. Maureen is a part-time facilitator with Centre For Learning@Home, and has coordinated the Grande Prairie Homeschool Fieldtrip Group for 3 years.
Design Coordinator- Kristin Bonneville
Kristin and her family, moved to Sexsmith just over 2 years ago. She heard about the benifits of home educating shortly after moving here. After much research, her and her husband decided that it was the very best option for their 4 children. Being in her first year of home education has brought a real sense of learning not just for her children, but for her as well. She has enjoyed seeing her children learn and grow, and also sees the value of building true Christianity into her childrens lives. In her spare time, she is a part-time childrens entertainer as Princess Jewel and Pixie Pink the clown. Her hobbies include digital design, web site set up & design, photography and photo editing.

Speaker Coordinator- Rhonda Wald

Hi, I'm Rhonda. I make my home in Sexsmith with my husband and 10 year old son. My personal philosophy is "learning happens all the time" which encourages and inspires me along our educational pathway. I am blessed to have an insatiable love of learning which has lent itself to the completion of an Early Childhood Diploma and a Computerized Accounting Diploma. My interests include reading, writing, photography, research and technology. I volunteer my time with the Shannon Library Board, Friends of the Library, Sexsmith Skateboard/BMX Park, La Leche League Canada, Peace Region Home Education Conference and the Grande Prairie & Area Home School Fieldtrip Group.

Exhibitor Hall- Lisa Chalifoux
Lisa and her family moved to Sexsmith 3 years ago. She has home educated her 11 year old son for 2.5 years, and is enjoying having him back home. Being able to watch her son grow to love learning is very fulfilling and she looks forward to many years of discovery and adventure. Community involvement is important to Lisa so she has volunteered her time with Sexsmith Community Enrichment Foundation, PRHEP Conference committee, Friends of the Shannon Library, Christmas Hamper program, as well as Co-ordinating fieldtrips for the Homeschool Fieldtrip Group.
